Rebecca Carle is delighted to share her love of music with the Arts Academy of New Hampshire community. For the past decade, Rebecca has been teaching music to students from age three–adult in a variety of settings. She taught K-6 music at Mont Vernon Village School, Kindergarten music at Clark-Wilkins school, and orchestra at Bishop Guertin High School. She served as String Specialist at Goffstown High School, was part of the violin, viola, and early childhood music faculty of the Manchester Community Music School, and was Strings Director of New Boston Central School’s after school music lesson program. She currently maintains a small home violin and viola studio.
A certified NH music educator, Rebecca has completed music education coursework at Gordon College, a General Music Studies Professional Certificate in music history and theory from Berklee College of Music, a Master of Liberal Arts degree focused on the study of history through material culture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA from Macalester College with a major in Classical Civilizations.
Rebecca is Principal Violist with the Nashua Chamber Orchestra and enjoys performing with a variety of chamber ensembles and in the pit orchestras for local musical theater performances. She is President of the New Hampshire Chapter of American String Teachers Association, and a member of the New Hampshire Music Educators Association. She lives in New Boston, NH with her husband, two high school aged kids, and a cat, loves to travel, and is always interested in learning new things, especially when blending of her musical interest with her history and anthropology background to explore the traditional and contemporary music of cultures all around the world.
