What does a typical school day look like?
The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. with the exception of Fridays, which are early release days and end at 12:00 pm.
What curriculum classes can I take?
Students take all State of New Hampshire core curriculum required classes and also three hours of intensive art each day. Arts Academy of New Hampshire provides an arts integrated curriculum. Arts are combined with all core curriculum and curriculum is combined with all arts. For more information please see our curriculum page.
What if I am ready to take accelerated math next year? What if I failed some courses at my last school?
Regardless of your level, we offer classes that suit your needs. Administrative staff will meet with you and assess your needs to ensure that you are placed at the appropriate class level.

How many arts may I take at Arts Academy of New Hampshire?
Students may take as many as their schedule will allow. Juniors and seniors have the most flexibility in their schedules and are often able to take several arts classes per semester. Student may select from the following: Dance Theater, Music, Visual Arts.
Are there play/music/dance/art productions at Arts Academy of New Hampshire?
Absolutely.
Are your teachers certified?
As is required by state of NH law, at least 50% of staff are certified by the State of New Hampshire.
Can you go to college from Arts Academy of New Hampshire? Are the academics rigorous enough?
Yes. Arts Academy of New Hampshire’s core curriculum meets or exceeds State of NH graduation requirements. Our graduates attend a wide variety of post-secondary institutions.
What are the requirements for technology? Will I need a laptop or iPad?
Families are required to provide their child with either a personal laptop or iPad with internet capability. The use of a school-issued laptop/iPad will be based on need.
How does Arts Academy of New Hampshire support students with IEPs/504 plans?
The school works in conjunction with area SAU staff, guidance, and families to ensure that student needs are met.
Are there athletic teams at Arts Academy of New Hampshire?
We do not offer athletic teams.
Will the extended school day allow me to continue to do a sport on my own after school?
As long your schedule permits. As a student of Arts Academy of New Hampshire you will need to attend all core curriculum and arts classes.
What will I do for physical education?
We offer PE class, which includes a variety of different athletics and activities.
What about lunches?
We have fresh vending on site that is filled every two days with locally made sandwiches and salads. We also offer microwaveable meals, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, milk, juice, and yogurt.
Is there busing/transportation?
We do not provide busing. You can find our Facebook carpooling group HERE.
What is the driving/parking policy?
Juniors and seniors in good standing may park in the school parking lot free of charge.
Who can attend Arts Academy of New Hampshire?
Anyone in grades 9–12 can attend Arts Academy of New Hampshire. New Hampshire residents are free; out of state residents require tuition. The tuition for out of state students is $7,800 per year. Payment plans are available.
