Olivia Marelic grew up in northern New Jersey and left her hometown to study Art Education and Art History at University of Vermont. There she received a B.S. in Art Education with a minor in Art History concentrating on modern art movements. Her artistic practice is centered around silkscreen and linoleum block printing as well as ceramics, painting, drawing, and photography. She moved out to Arizona in 2020 and spent time teaching art to 3-6 year olds in a Montessori classroom. In 2024 she returned home to New England and started working at the Arts Academy of NH. When she’s not teaching or creating art she spends her time outside with loved ones hiking, rock climbing, camping or cozied up on the couch with a cup of tea knitting, reading, or journaling. She still believes in the Montessori method and tries to incorporate a Montessori-inspired approach to education.
